About us
our story
Maestre Construction Inc. has its roots in more than three decades of heavy civil and underground utility construction throughout Florida. The company’s foundation began with Angel O. Maestre, Pedro R. Maestre, and Roberto Ramos, three dedicated tradesmen who spent their careers performing demanding underground utility and civil infrastructure work for counties, municipalities, and other project stakeholders.
For more than 30 years, they worked side by side developing extensive knowledge of underground construction. Their work encompassed the infrastructure systems that communities rely on every day, including water distribution, wastewater conveyance, underground pipelines, and supporting civil infrastructure. That knowledge was developed directly in the field through years of solving difficult construction challenges and adapting to changing site conditions.
Growing up around heavy civil construction, Angel Maestre Jr. saw firsthand the commitment, technical knowledge, and work ethic required to perform this type of work. Motivated to carry that foundation forward, he pursued the education and professional qualifications necessary to combine generations of field knowledge with engineering-based construction leadership. Within four years, Angel Jr. earned a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, obtained his State Certified General Contractor license and State Certified Underground Utility and Excavation Contractor license, and completed the prerequisites required for Professional Engineer licensure.
In July 2013, Maestre Construction Inc. was established with a clear purpose, to build a company capable of carrying decades of construction knowledge into the next generation while expanding the technical and operational capabilities of the organization.
Today, Maestre Construction has developed into a heavy civil contractor capable of executing complex infrastructure, underground utility, pipeline, pump station, site development, and municipal construction projects throughout Florida. The principles established through decades in the field continue to influence how the company plans, manages, and performs its work.
Heavy civil construction requires the ability to understand what is shown on the plans while recognizing the conditions that may exist beyond them. Maestre Construction combines decades of practical field knowledge with engineering-based leadership to evaluate constructability, anticipate challenges, coordinate project requirements, and make informed decisions throughout construction.
That combination allows our team to approach projects from both perspectives, understanding the engineering intent behind the infrastructure while maintaining a practical understanding of what is required to construct it safely and effectively in the field.
